Saxophone, Clarinet, Trumpet, & Piano Teacher Sarah Triggs

Sarah Triggs

Sarah is a musician, composer and student in Phoenix, Arizona. She fell in love with teaching in highschool when helping other students with their instruments and learning music. Sarah is a multi instrumentalist; she can teach Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Baritone/Euphonium, concert percussion (mallets and snare drum) and piano. She is currently going to Glendale Community College for music education with a minor in theory and composition. She currently also teaches at Surprise Academy of Music for clarinet and trumpet and at Northwest Valley of Musical Arts as a piano group class instructor.

Sarah first started teaching her senior year of high school when her band director decided to resign and the school was left without a director. She was already chosen to be drum major of her band and she stepped up and lead the marching band to put together a show, fundraise and go to competitions with only parent supervision. This is where she grew her love for teaching and wants to help kids and adults learn how to play and perform music.

Sarah’s main instrument is clarinet and has been playing for 12 years. You can also see her performing on Saxophone, Bass Clarinet and mallet Percussion. One of Sarah’s other passions is composing chamber music. She has written countless pieces that have been performed at Glendale Community College in Arizona.
