Clarinet & Saxophone Teacher Eric Juberg

Eric Juberg

Eric Juberg is a Brooklyn based jazz saxophonist and clarinetist. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in jazz studies from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. While in Bloomington, Eric studied with Tom Walsh, David Baker, Frank Glover, Brent Wallarab, Michael Spiro, Wayne Wallace, and others. He now performs, teaches, and composes in a wide variety of contexts here in NYC.

Eric has several years teaching experience, from elementary and middle school beginners all the way to high school and beyond. He is comfortable teaching saxophone and clarinet at any level, and specializes in jazz theory and improvisation on both instruments. One of Eric’s central teaching philosophies is learning through listening and transcribing. This approach, combined with the goal of developing a solid foundation of instrument fundamentals, works especially well with younger musicians. Some of Eric’s other interests include wind synthesizers and sound synthesis, orchestral composition, and reading.
