Alexa Lee

 Violin Teacher Alexa Lee

Violin Teacher Alexa Lee

Alexa Lee is a classically trained violinist and music producer based in Los Angeles, California. She has competed and performed in many prestigious venues such as: Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall and Bing Concert Hall. Besides classical music Alexa is also trained in many other genres such as pop, edm and rock. During her live DJ sets Alexa enjoys improvising over different beats and pulling different melodies and themes from classical songs. This technique is quite helpful for her students learning how to ear train. Alexa has been teaching students ranging from 4- 18 years old since high school and volunteers at Education Through Music in Los Angeles.

Alexa does not use the Suzuki method to teach violin. Instead she prefers to build the student's basic skills with various etudes, caprices and concertos. Furthermore, she utilizes music theory and history to really help students understand the essence of the music. Students who wish to test for CM will find her techniques quite useful.
