Matt Keiser
Matt Keiser has been teaching and playing drums professionally for 7 years in Los Angeles and now in Austin, TX. He attended the Musician's Institute in Hollywood where he was able to live, breathe and eat music. Here he learned what it takes to play music professionally. At MI, he learned things from amazing drum teachers. They gave him a hands-on learning experience and often guided him with one-on-one interactions. Another key aspect of his education was learning the importance of working on the fundamentals of drumming.. and of course... PATIENCE!!!
Matt's goal as an instructor is to encourage, inspire and share his passion for music. Exposing students to cool and applicable drum ideas and concepts is an important part of the lesson plan so that what the student is being taught can be applied to any musical situation. Helping students achieve their musical goals is Matt's mission.
Currently, Matt is constantly gigging throughout Texas with his original prog-rock band Koodookoo and with other local artists in the Austin music scene. When he's not touring, he's either giving private lessons or recording music from his home studio.
