Shelley has over 30 years experience in teaching piano and music skills in general. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Music Education. She has a philosophy that music enriches and expands the mind and that it is a pathway and stimulant to intellectual growth which leads to greater success in academic learning. Shelley feels that music study needs to be presented in a style where children of all learning abilities can benefit from the fun and creative study of this rich source of lifelong joy and satisfaction. She uses rhythm activities with percussion instruments to enhance her piano classes and keeps her lessons interesting.
